110: The Black Dahlia with Joe Reid

The Black Dahlia (2006) is one of Hollywood’s most infamous true crime stories brought to screen a labyrinthine noir that refuses easy answers. Directed by Brian De Palma, the film weaves the 1947 unsolved murder of Elizabeth Short through the lives of two LAPD detectives, tangling glamour with corruption, obsession with justice, and the cold machinery of Los Angeles ambition. Starring Josh Hartnett, Aaron Eckhart, and Scarlett Johansson, it’s a film that asks: How many layers of deception can you peel back before you lose the truth?

Host Phil Iscove and guests Emily St. James and Joe Reid dig into whether this adaptation of James Ellroy’s novel holds up and whether its byzantine plot and moral fog land as intended or collapse under the weight of their own complexity. They explore how De Palma’s stylistic flourishes, the ensemble’s commitment to the murk, and the film’s refusal to absolve anyone of blame read in 2026.

20 Kinds of Orgasms, Explained by the Woman Who's Helped a Million People Have Them

Susan Bratton, the self-proclaimed Queen of Peen, holds nothing back on this one. We get into penis pump protocols and real gains data, the actual mechanics of an erection and why some men lose function as they age, and how men can become multi-orgasmic by separating ejaculation from orgasm entirely.

She also breaks down her theory on why gang bangs might be evolutionarily hardwired into female desire, the truth about female ejaculation (it’s not what you think), and the orgasmic intercourse techniques she developed after 12 years of never climaxing from penetration herself. Educational, filthy, and unlike anything else on this show.

The Sicario Effect

The Sicario Effect is a new series from Exclave Media. Jhon Jairo Velasquez Vasquez alias “Popeye” was Pablo Escobar’s top lieutenant and The Medellin Cartel’s chief sicario (assassin). He’s publicly admitted to having personally killed 300 people. In 2014, after 23 years in prison, Popeye was released.
